(1) “program” means the foster care transition program authorized under Alaska Stat. § 47.18.300 – 47.18.390;

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 47.18.390

  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(2) “qualified entities” means municipalities, other political subdivisions of the state, nonprofit corporations formed under Alaska Stat. Chapter 10.20, churches and religious organizations, and incorporated and unincorporated entities operating within the state that meet the requirements established by the department in regulation;
(3) “state foster care” means foster care, as defined in Alaska Stat. § 47.10.990, that is provided to a person who is in the custody of the department under Alaska Stat. Chapter 47.10 and Alaska Stat. Chapter 47.12.
