  • Garnishment: Generally, garnishment is a court proceeding in which a creditor asks a court to order a third party who owes money to the debtor or otherwise holds assets belonging to the debtor to turn over to the creditor any of the debtor

Assistance granted under Alaska Stat. § 47.25.12047.25.300 is inalienable by assignment or transfer and is exempt from garnishment, levy, or execution as provided in Alaska Stat. Chapter 09.38 (exemptions).
