The years of employment of a certificated teacher who has been employed by a school district for more than the major portion of three consecutive school years shall be preserved if that teacher moves from a school district to a career technical education district or from a career technical education district to a school district if the school district governing board recognizes the previously established years of employment of the teacher, provided such districts are participating in the career technical education district.
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 15-394
- Career technical education district: means a district that is formed pursuant to this article and that offers career technical education courses. See Arizona Laws 15-391
- Governing board: means a body organized for the government and management of the schools within a school district or a county school superintendent in the conduct of an accommodation school. See Arizona Laws 15-101
- School district: means a political subdivision of this state with geographic boundaries organized for the purpose of the administration, support and maintenance of the public schools or an accommodation school. See Arizona Laws 15-101
