If the jury commissioner or jury manager denies a person‘s request to be excused or disqualified from jury service and the person makes a written application for review, the presiding judge of the court to which the person has been summoned or another judge designated by the presiding judge shall decide whether the person should be excused or disqualified.

Terms Used In Arizona Laws 21-132

  • Jury commissioner: means the clerk of the superior court, except that in any county having a population of more than five hundred thousand persons, the presiding judge of the superior court may appoint a jury commissioner. See Arizona Laws 21-101
  • Jury manager: means the person who is responsible for jury management in a justice of the peace court or a municipal court. See Arizona Laws 21-101
  • Person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association or society, as well as a natural person. See Arizona Laws 1-215
