Subject to section 26-1017, general courts-martial have jurisdiction to try persons subject to this chapter for any offense made punishable by this chapter and, under limitations as the governor prescribes, may sentence convicted persons to any combination of the following:

- Confinement: means the physical restraint of a person. See Arizona Laws 26-1001
- Dismissal: The dropping of a case by the judge without further consideration or hearing. Source:
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
1. A fine of not more than three hundred sixty-five dollars.
2. Forfeiture of pay and allowances.
3. A reprimand.
4. Dismissal or dishonorable discharge.
5. Reduction of a noncommissioned officer to the ranks.
6. Confinement of not more than three hundred sixty-five days.
