A. The state and the person charged with a civil traffic violation may subpoena witnesses as provided by section 13-4072. Witnesses are not entitled to fees for appearing in connection with a civil violation proceeding.
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 28-1597
- Person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association or society, as well as a natural person. See Arizona Laws 1-215
- State: means a state of the United States and the District of Columbia. See Arizona Laws 28-101
- Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
- Traffic: means pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles and other conveyances either singly or together while using a highway for purposes of travel. See Arizona Laws 28-1501
B. Except as otherwise provided in chapter 3 of this title or this chapter, the rules of civil procedure do not apply.
