Arizona Laws 28-4151. Reinstatement fee; motor vehicle liability insurance enforcement fund
A. A person shall pay a fee of not more than fifty dollars for the reinstatement of a motor vehicle registration and license plate as prescribed by the department for the purposes prescribed in this article. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, this fee does not apply to a person who is required to comply with the financial responsibility requirements prescribed in article 2 of this chapter.

- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Department: means the department of transportation acting directly or through its duly authorized officers and agents. See Arizona Laws 28-101
- Director: means the director of the department of transportation. See Arizona Laws 28-101
- License: means a license, temporary instruction permit or temporary license issued under the laws of this state pertaining to the licensing of persons to operate motor vehicles. See Arizona Laws 28-4001
- Motor vehicle: means a self-propelled vehicle that is registered or required to be registered under the laws of this state. See Arizona Laws 28-4001
- Person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association or society, as well as a natural person. See Arizona Laws 1-215
- Registration: means the registration certificate or certificates and license plates issued under the laws of this state pertaining to the registration of motor vehicles. See Arizona Laws 28-4001
B. The fee prescribed in subsection A of this section applies to a person who is required to comply with the financial responsibility requirements prescribed in section 28-4033, subsection A, paragraph 2, subdivision (c).
C. The director shall deposit, pursuant to sections 35-146 and 35-147, the fees collected under this section in the motor vehicle liability insurance enforcement fund established by subsection D of this section.
D. A motor vehicle liability insurance enforcement fund is established consisting of monies received pursuant to this article. The department of transportation shall administer the fund, subject to legislative appropriation.
