A. The board and department shall cooperate with federal and other state agencies in discharging responsibilities concerning traffic in controlled substances and in suppressing the abuse of controlled substances, including the dissemination of information to law enforcement agencies relating to any person who is known to have violated or who is suspected of violating this chapter to obtain a controlled substance in violation of section 36-2531.

Terms Used In Arizona Laws 36-2542

  • Board: means the Arizona state board of pharmacy. See Arizona Laws 36-2501
  • Controlled substance: means a drug, substance or immediate precursor in schedules I through V of article 2 of this chapter and the rules adopted pursuant to article 2 of this chapter. See Arizona Laws 36-2501
  • Department: means the department of public safety. See Arizona Laws 36-2501
  • Drug enforcement administration: means the drug enforcement administration of the department of justice of the United States or its successor agency. See Arizona Laws 36-2501
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • including: means not limited to and is not a term of exclusion. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • Person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association or society, as well as a natural person. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • State: when applied to a part of the United States, means any state, district, commonwealth, territory or insular possession of the United States and any area subject to the legal authority of the United States of America. See Arizona Laws 36-2501
  • United States: includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Arizona Laws 1-215

B. Results, information and evidence received from the United States drug enforcement administration relating to the regulatory functions of this chapter, including results of inspections conducted by it, may be relied and acted upon by the board or department in the exercise of its regulatory functions under this chapter.
