A. The department shall issue to each licensed nursing care institution a quality rating based on the results of a licensure survey.
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 36-425.02
- Department: means the department of health services. See Arizona Laws 36-401
- Director: means the director of the department. See Arizona Laws 36-401
- Nursing care institution: means a health care institution that provides inpatient beds or resident beds and nursing services to persons who need continuous nursing services but who do not require hospital care or direct daily care from a physician. See Arizona Laws 36-401
B. The director may determine the period of time for which a license issued to a nursing care institution is valid according to the quality rating category to which the institution is assigned, except that no license shall be valid for more than three years from the date of issuance.
