Upon payment by the state for improvements on state land taken over by the state or its departments or institutions the improvements shall become the property of the state. If the land subsequently is sold or leased to other parties, the purchaser or lessee shall reimburse the state for the improvements and the amount so received shall be placed in the general fund.
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 37-443
- Improvements: means anything permanent in character which is the result of labor or capital expended by the lessee or his predecessors in interest on state land in its reclamation or development, and the appropriation of water thereon, and which has enhanced the value of the land. See Arizona Laws 37-101
- Property: includes both real and personal property. See Arizona Laws 1-215
