In this article, a discriminatory act is committed because of familial status if the act is committed because the person who is the subject of discrimination is:
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 41-1491.01
- Person: means one or more individuals, corporations, partnerships, associations, labor organizations, legal representatives, mutual companies, joint stock companies, trusts, unincorporated organizations, trustees, receivers, fiduciaries, banks, credit unions and financial institutions. - Process: means a citation, writ or summons issued in the course of judicial proceedings. See Arizona Laws 1-215
1. Pregnant.
2. Domiciled with an individual younger than eighteen years of age in regard to whom the person either:
(a) Is the parent or legal custodian.
(b) Has the written permission of the parent or legal custodian for domicile with that person.
3. In the process of obtaining legal custody of an individual younger than eighteen years of age.
