Terms Used In Arizona Laws 47-2A521

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Goods: means all things that are movable at the time of identification to the lease contract, or are fixtures (section 47-2A309), but the term does not include money, documents, instruments, accounts, chattel paper, general intangibles or minerals or the like, including oil and gas, before extraction. See Arizona Laws 47-2A103
  • Lessee: means a person who acquires the right to possession and use of goods under a lease. See Arizona Laws 47-2A103

B. A decree for specific performance may include any terms and conditions as to payment of the rent, damages or other relief that the court deems just.

C. A lessee has a right of replevin, detinue, sequestration, claim and delivery, or the like for goods identified to the lease contract if after reasonable effort the lessee is unable to effect cover for those goods or the circumstances reasonably indicate that the effort will be unavailing.
