- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Director: means the director of the department of transportation. See Arizona Laws 32-2351
- Instructor: means any person, whether acting for himself as an operator of a professional driver training school or for any such school for compensation, who teaches, conducts classes of, gives demonstrations to, or supervises the practice of persons learning to operate or drive motor vehicles or preparing to take an examination for a driver license or instruction permit, and any person who supervises the work of any other instructor. - Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association or society, as well as a natural person. See Arizona Laws 1-215
- school: means a business enterprise conducted by an individual, association, partnership, or corporation that educates and trains persons, either practically or theoretically, or both, to operate or drive commercial motor vehicles, that prepares applicants for an examination given by the state for a commercial driver license or learner's permit and that charges a consideration or tuition for these services.
