Terms Used In Arizona Laws > Title 44 > Chapter 11 > Article 11 - Solar Energy Devices

  • Action: includes any matter or proceeding in a court, civil or criminal. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • Consumer: means an individual. See Arizona Laws 44-1691
  • energized: means that the distributed energy generation system is installed and operational for its intended purposes of generating or storing electricity. See Arizona Laws 44-1761
  • File: when used in connection with information on any consumer, means all of the information on that consumer recorded and retained by a consumer reporting agency regardless of how the information is stored. See Arizona Laws 44-1691
  • including: means not limited to and is not a term of exclusion. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • interconnection: means a distributed energy generation system that is connected to the power grid and that is able to transfer electricity to the power grid. See Arizona Laws 44-1761
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • Person: means an individual, partnership, corporation, association, or any other entity of whatever kind or nature. See Arizona Laws 44-1691
  • Property: includes both real and personal property. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
  • Seller or marketer: means an individual or a company acting through its officers, employees or agents that markets, sells or solicits the sale, financing or lease of distributed energy generation systems or negotiates or enters into agreements for the sale, financing or lease of distributed energy generation systems.   • Solar daylighting: means a device that is specifically designed to capture and redirect the visible portion of the solar beam spectrum, while controlling the infrared portion, for use in illuminating interior building spaces in lieu of artificial lighting. See Arizona Laws 44-1761
