The undertaking shall be in the lesser of the following amounts:

(a) Double the value of the property or obligation.

Terms Used In California Civil Code 3448

  • Creditor: means "creditor" as defined in Section 3439. See California Civil Code 3445
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • property: includes property real and personal. See California Civil Code 14

(b) Double the amount of the creditor‘s claim in the action.
