(a)  A plaintiff under this division, subject to subdivision (c), may request an ex parte prejudgment attachment order from the court against all assets of a defendant sufficient to satisfy a potential award.

(b)  Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 485.010) of Title 6.5 of Part 2 of the Code of Civil Procedure shall apply to any request under this subdivision.
