Any new seismic gas shutoff device sold by any person in this state shall, prior to sale, be certified by the State Architect.

Terms Used In California Health and Safety Code 19203
- Person: means any person, firm, association, organization, partnership, business trust, corporation, limited liability company, or company. See California Health and Safety Code 19
- Seismic gas shutoff device: means a seismic gas shutoff device installed on customer-owned gas piping certified by the State Architect pursuant to Section 19202. See California Health and Safety Code 19201
- State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Health and Safety Code 23
