For the purposes of this chapter, where the definition of the term “hospital” in the policy omits care in any “health facility” defined pursuant to subdivision (a) or (b) of § 1250 of the Health and Safety Code, the omitted coverage shall constitute a limitation. Further, where the definition of the term “nursing home” in the policy omits care in any “health facility” defined pursuant to subdivision (c) or (d) of § 1250 of the Health and Safety Code, the omitted coverage shall constitute a limitation.
