Any corporation, or agent or employee thereof, demanding or charging a greater sum of money for fare on the cars of a street railroad than that fixed by law forfeits to the person from whom the sum is received, or who is thus overcharged, the sum of two hundred dollars ($200), to be recovered in a civil action against the corporation.
