  • Acquisition: means obtaining the fee title or a lesser interest in real property, including specifically, a conservation easement or development rights. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. Source: OCC

  • Corporation: as used in this part means a corporation which is organized under, or subject to this part, including a central organization. See California Corporations Code 12232
  • County: includes "city and county. See California Corporations Code 14
  • Department: means the Department of Parks and Recreation. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • department: means the State Department of Health Services. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 14062
  • Development: includes , but is not limited to, improvement, rehabilitation, restoration, enhancement, preservation, protection, and interpretation. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • Director: means the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • Directors: means natural persons, designated in the articles or bylaws or elected by the incorporators, and their successors and natural persons designated, elected, or appointed by any other name or title to act as members of the governing body of the corporation. See California Corporations Code 12233
  • District: means any regional park district, regional park and open-space district, or regional open-space district formed pursuant to Article 3 (commencing with Section 5500) of Chapter 3, any recreation and park district formed pursuant to Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 5780), or an authority formed pursuant to Division 26 (commencing with Section 35100). See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • Donor: The person who makes a gift.
  • Fair market value: The price at which an asset would change hands in a transaction between a willing, informed buyer and a willing, informed seller.
  • Fund: means the California Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks, and Coastal Protection Fund created pursuant to Section 5096. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • Legislative session: That part of a chamber's daily session in which it considers legislative business (bills, resolutions, and actions related thereto).
  • Local conservation corps: means a program operated by a public agency or nonprofit organization that is certified pursuant to Section 14406. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • Medi-Cal: means the California Medical Assistance Program. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 14063
  • official grade: when used in this division shall mean the grade so established, changed, or modified. See California Streets and Highways Code 5150.5
  • Person: includes any person, firm, partnership, general partner of a partnership, limited liability company, registered limited liability partnership, foreign limited liability partnership, association, corporation, company, syndicate, estate, trust, business trust, or organization of any kind. See California Revenue and Taxation Code 19
  • Preservation: means identification, evaluation, recordation, documentation, interpretation, protection, rehabilitation, restoration, stabilization, development, and reconstruction, or any combination of those activities. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • roadbed: includes that portion of any street used by the track of any railroad between the rails and for two feet on each side thereof and between the tracks if there is more than one, and includes the rails of such track or tracks. See California Streets and Highways Code 6751
  • Secretary: means the Secretary of the Resources Agency. See California Public Resources Code 5096.605
  • Spouse: includes "registered domestic partner" as required by §. See California Revenue and Taxation Code 12.2
