(a) The department shall monitor participation rates for transitional Medi-Cal and seek input from beneficiaries, beneficiary representatives, and counties, on a regular basis throughout each year to consider changes in transitional Medi-Cal procedures as may be necessary to ensure that participation rates are at levels that would reasonably be expected, given aid caseload developments. Before any such changes are made, the department shall seek any federal waivers, or obtain other federal approval, that may be necessary to implement the changes.
(b) The department shall make the participation rate monitoring data described in subdivision (a) available upon request.
