From funds appropriated to the Department of Transportation for general operations, the Commissioner of Transportation shall, on request of the state agency having jurisdiction over the property involved, maintain and improve the roads and drives on the grounds of state institutions, state parks, state forests and other state agencies, including the Connecticut Marketing Authority, such maintenance to include the removal of snow.

Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 13b-30

  • Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Transportation appointed pursuant to this chapter. See Connecticut General Statutes 13b-2
  • Department: means the Department of Transportation established pursuant to this chapter. See Connecticut General Statutes 13b-2
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Transportation: means any form of transportation for persons or goods within, to or from the state, whether by highway, air, water, rail or any other means. See Connecticut General Statutes 13b-2
