No fee shall be paid to the arresting officer for an arrest made because of a violation of any provision of the general statutes relating to motor vehicles or a violation of an ordinance of any municipality concerning the operation of motor vehicles.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 14-144
- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- Officer: includes any constable, state marshal, inspector of motor vehicles, state policeman or other official authorized to make arrests or to serve process, provided the officer is in uniform or displays the officer's badge of office in a conspicuous place when making an arrest. - Ordinance: means an enactment under the provisions of section 7-157. See Connecticut General Statutes 1-1
