The unit shall, by September first of each year, report the results of the unit’s review of the hospitals’ annual and twelve-month filings under sections 19a-644, 19a-649 and 19a-676 for the previous hospital fiscal year to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public health. The report shall include information concerning the financial stability of hospitals in a competitive market.

- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Unit: means the Health Systems Planning Unit. See Connecticut General Statutes 19a-630
