(a) No person shall apply, in any manner, any insecticide that is a neonicotinoid, as defined in section 22-61k, to any linden or basswood tree in this state.

  • person: means any individual, firm, partnership, association, syndicate, company, trust, corporation, nonstock corporation, limited liability company, municipality, agency or political or administrative subdivision of the state, or other legal entity of any kind. (b) The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection may enforce the provisions of this section pursuant to section 22a-6 and establish a fine for the violation of the provisions of this section.
