Any licensed security service or any firm or corporation employing proprietary security personnel shall furnish the state police or the municipal police department with written notice of the assignments of any security officers or personnel who carry firearms and are stationed within the jurisdiction of such law enforcement agencies.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 29-161aa
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Security service: means any person, firm, association or corporation that, for consideration, provides to another person, firm, association or corporation one or more of the following: (A) The prevention or detection of intrusion, entry, larceny, vandalism, abuse, fire, or trespass on the property the security service was hired to protect.
