The commissioner may consider the community reinvestment performance of a community credit union in connection with (1) an approval of an amendment to the certificate of incorporation pursuant to subsection (g) of section 36a-437a; (2) an approval of an expansion of its field of membership pursuant to subsection (c) of section 36a-438a; and (3) an approval of a merger pursuant to section 36a-468a. The commissioner may withhold approval of or condition an issuance of approval of such amendment, expansion or merger pursuant to this section.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 36a-37d
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Commissioner: means the Banking Commissioner and, with respect to any function of the commissioner, includes any person authorized or designated by the commissioner to carry out that function. See Connecticut General Statutes 36a-2
- Merger: means the combination of one or more institutions with another which continues its corporate existence. See Connecticut General Statutes 36a-2
