An insurer licensed to write homeowners or commercial property insurance in this state may offer flood insurance coverage for one-to-four unit owner-occupied residential real property or commercial property, as applicable, on a less than state-wide basis as selected by the insurer.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 38a-316f
- Insurance: means any agreement to pay a sum of money, provide services or any other thing of value on the happening of a particular event or contingency or to provide indemnity for loss in respect to a specified subject by specified perils in return for a consideration. See Connecticut General Statutes 38a-1
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
- State: means any state, district, or territory of the United States. See Connecticut General Statutes 38a-1
