A purchaser in good faith of personal property sold to satisfy the lien provided for in section 42-160 takes the property free of any rights of persons against whom the lien was valid, despite noncompliance by the owner with the requirements of this chapter.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 42-166
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Owner: means the owner, operator, lessor or sublessor of a self-service storage facility, an agent of such owner, operator, lessor or sublessor or any other person authorized by such owner, operator, lessor or sublessor to manage the facility or receive rent from an occupant under a rental agreement.
