Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 45a-500c

  • State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, and includes an Indian tribe or band recognized by federal law or formally acknowledged by a state. See Connecticut General Statutes 45a-499c

(1) If the trust was created before January 1, 2020, sections 45a-500b to 45a-500s, inclusive, apply only to a decision or action occurring on or after January 1, 2020.

(2) If the principal place of administration of the trust is changed to this state on or after January 1, 2020, sections 45a-500b to 45a-500s, inclusive, apply only to a decision or action occurring on or after the date of the change.
