Whenever any railroad company makes and executes a deed in fee simple of any lands which that company has derived by purchase, that deed effectually conveys the title to those lands to the absolute use of the grantee.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 47-9
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Fee simple: Absolute title to property with no limitations or restrictions regarding the person who may inherit it.
- railroad company: shall be construed to mean and include all corporations, trustees, receivers or other persons, that lay out, construct, maintain or operate a railroad, unless such meaning would be repugnant to the context or to the manifest intention of the General Assembly.
