Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 4d-30
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- State agency: means each department, board, council, commission, institution or other agency of the Executive Department of the state government, provided each board, council, commission, institution or other agency included by law within any given department shall be deemed a division of that department. See Connecticut General Statutes 4d-1
(1) “Contract” means a contract for state agency information system or telecommunication system facilities, equipment or services, which is awarded pursuant to this chapter or subsection (e) of section 1-205, subsection (c) of section 1-211, subsection (b) of section 1-212, section 4-5, subsection (a) of section 10a-151b, or subsection (b) of section 19a-110.
(2) “Contractor” means a business entity or individual who is awarded a contract or an amendment to a contract.
(3) “Subcontractor” means a subcontractor of a contractor for work under a contract or an amendment to a contract.
