Connecticut General Statutes 7-148mm – Interlocal agreement re dispatch services. Governing board
Any municipalities that enter into an interlocal agreement pursuant to sections 7-339a to 7-339l, inclusive, to consolidate dispatch services may establish a governing board. Each municipality that is a party to such an agreement shall be represented on such governing board. Representatives of the municipality shall be appointed to such governing board by the legislative body of such municipality or in such other manner as shall be prescribed by such legislative body. The qualifications, terms of office and compensation, if any, of such representatives shall be prescribed by such legislative body, subject to any applicable provisions of the interlocal agreement. The general powers and authority of such governing board shall be as set forth in the provisions of the interlocal agreement. Nothing in this section shall be construed to grant such governing board any powers not specifically provided to municipalities regarding dispatch services by any provision of the general statutes or by any charter or special act. For purposes of this section, “municipality” has the same meaning as provided in subsection (d) of section 7-187 and “interlocal agreement” and “legislative body” have the same meanings as provided in section 7-339a.
