Terms Used In Delaware Code > Title 14 > Chapter 20 - Standard School Construction
- Child: means a person who has not reached the age of 18 years. See Delaware Code Title 1 Sec. 302
- District: means a reorganized school district. See Delaware Code Title 14 Sec. 2001
- Donor: The person who makes a gift.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
- School board: means a board of education of a reorganized school district. See Delaware Code Title 14 Sec. 2001
- State: means the State of Delaware; and when applied to different parts of the United States, it includes the District of Columbia and the several territories and possessions of the United States. See Delaware Code Title 1 Sec. 302
