(a) There is hereby created a special fund in the State Treasury to be known as the Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Trust Fund.

Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 16 Sec. 2729

  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
  • Donor: The person who makes a gift.
  • Donor: means an individual who makes a gift of all or part of the individual's body. See Delaware Code Title 16 Sec. 2710
  • Fund: means the Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Trust Fund. See Delaware Code Title 16 Sec. 2710
  • State: includes a state, district, commonwealth, territory, insular possession and any other area subject to the legislative authority of the United States of America. See Delaware Code Title 16 Sec. 2710

(b) Moneys deposited into the Fund and interest which accrues from those funds are hereby appropriated to the Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Board as a continuing appropriation, to be distributed by the board in the manner provided in and for the purposes delineated in § 2730 of this title. Funds in the Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Fund shall not lapse.
