Delaware Code Title 24 Sec. 2614 – Use of professional title
(a) Any person who holds a license pursuant to this chapter as a physical therapist may use the word “physical therapist” or the letters “PT” in connection with the person’s name or place of business to denote licensure hereunder. Any person who holds a license pursuant to this chapter as a physical therapist assistant may use the words “physical therapist assistant” and may use the letters “PTA” in connection with the person’s name to denote licensure hereunder.
Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 24 Sec. 2614
- Athletic trainer: means a person who is licensed by the State Examining Board of Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers, to practice "athletic training" after meeting the requirements of this chapter and rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. See Delaware Code Title 24 Sec. 2602
- Physical therapist: means a person who is licensed to practice physical therapy. See Delaware Code Title 24 Sec. 2602
- Physical therapist assistant: means a person who assists licensed physical therapists subject to this chapter and rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto. See Delaware Code Title 24 Sec. 2602
(b) Any person who holds a license pursuant to this chapter as an athletic trainer may use the words “licensed athletic trainer” and may use the letters “LAT” in connection with the person’s name to denote licensure hereunder.
