If the governing body of each of 2 or more communities declares, by resolution, that there is a need for 1 slum clearance and redevelopment authority to be created for all of such communities, and has made the findings required by § 4504 of this title, a public body, corporate and politic, to be known as a regional slum clearance and redevelopment authority (herein referred to as “regional authority” or “authority”) shall thereupon exist for all of such communities and may exercise the powers and other functions of an authority under this chapter in such communities.

Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 31 Sec. 4505
- Governing body: means the city council, town council, commissioners or other legislative body charged with governing the municipality or Levy Court commissioners or other legislative body charged with governing the county. See Delaware Code Title 31 Sec. 4501
- Public body: means the State or any municipality, county, township, board, commission, authority, district or any other subdivision or public body of this State. See Delaware Code Title 31 Sec. 4501
- slum clearance and redevelopment authority: means a public body, corporate and politic, created by or pursuant to § 4503 of this title or any housing authority or community exercising the powers, rights and duties of a slum clearance and redevelopment authority pursuant to § 4503 of this title.
