(1) In compliance with Florida Statutes § 316.241(1), the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles adopts the Standards of the Society of Automotive Engineers (400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, Pa., 15096) and applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards as listed below for each device as indicated as its requirements for approval of the various types of devices mentioned above for use on motor vehicles operating in Florida.
