(1) The District shall give public notice of each instance in which professional services are being sought for a design-build project, providing a general description of the project and requesting qualifications from design-build firms. The notice shall appear in newspapers of general circulation in appropriate areas.

Terms Used In Florida Regulations 40C-1.714

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
    (2) A design-build firm desiring to provide design-build services for a project shall timely submit a letter of interest to the District, which shall include the following qualifications weighted for evaluation: evidence of current professional status; availability; location; adequacy of personnel; past contractual record and related experience; recent, current and projected workloads; volume and quality of work previously awarded to the firm by the District; willingness to meet time and budget requirements; and whether the firm is a certified minority business as defined by the Florida Small and Minority Business Act of 1985. Interested firms shall be notified of the weighted evaluation criteria for each project. Along with its qualifications, the design-build firm shall file a sworn statement pursuant to Florida Statutes § 287.133
