(1) The requirements of section 447.305(3)-(8), F.S., as amended by chapter 2023-35, section 4, L.O.F., apply to the registration renewal of every bargaining agent representing a bargaining unit that does not include law enforcement officers, correctional officers, or correctional probation officers as those terms are defined in section 943.10(1), (2), or (3), F.S., respectively, or firefighters as defined in Florida Statutes § 633.102, but only with respect to the circumstances of such bargaining units. An employee organization is exempt under section 447.305(9), as amended by chapter 2023-35, section 4, L.O.F., from the requirements of section 447.305(3)-(8), as amended by chapter 2023-35, section 4, L.O.F., only with respect to the circumstances of each bargaining unit that includes law enforcement officers, correctional officers, or correctional probation officers as those terms are defined in section 943.10(1), (2), or (3), F.S., respectively, or firefighters as defined in Florida Statutes § 633.102
