(1) Inspections conducted by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation of barbershops to determine whether such barbershops are in compliance with the applicable provisions of Florida Statutes Chapter 476, and the rules promulgated thereunder shall be conducted biennially, effective July 1, 2010, on a random unannounced basis, unless otherwise practicable. A copy of the inspection report shall be posted within view of the front entrance or in the waiting area of the barbershop for public viewing.

(2) A barbershop inspection which reveals that the shop has been closed for a period of 30 days or longer shall require a reinspection of the barbershop prior to reopening for business. The owner of any barbershop who is planning to temporarily close for business for a period of 90 days or longer is required to notify the Department, in writing, of such closing. The notification shall also include the date on which the barbershop is expected to reopen. No barbershop shall be permitted to reopen until it has been reinspected by the Department.
