(1) A licensee with a current active or current inactive license, which is not otherwise encumbered by discipline, may elect to voluntarily relinquish the license administratively by submitting to the Department the CPA Change of Status form (DBPR CPA 7, Effective June 2021), which is incorporated by reference in Fl. Admin. Code R. 61-35.003

(2) The licensing authority, pursuant to Section 455.227(1)(f), F.S., may accept a licensee’s relinquishment of a license as a form of discipline during the course of any disciplinary proceeding or action. A license encumbered by discipline resulting in disciplinary relinquishment shall be construed as action against the licensee.
