(1) The Direct Support Organization (DSO) of the department shall adopt bylaws.
(2) Bylaw provisions shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
(a) Description of the DSO, including name and purpose;
(b) Structure and organization;
(c) Prohibited activities;
(d) Board of directors, officers and committees;
(e) Meetings and quorum;
(f) Staff assistance;
(g) Fiscal procedure; and
(h) Amendment of bylaws.

- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
