Prescription files which are 2 years old or less when the optician dies, terminates the practice, or relocates and is no longer available to the patients, shall be transferred to a location where they may be obtained by clients. The prescription files must be retained 2 years after the optician’s death, termination of practice, or relocation. The optical establishment shall also provide notice, within 60 days, to its clients of the establishment’s closing and advertise where the prescription files may be obtained, pursuant to Florida Statutes § 456.057(12)
