(1) Continuing education programs which enhance learning and skills consistent with current standards of practice that are sponsored or approved by the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), the American College of Radiology (ACR), the American College of Medical Physics (ACMP), the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists (COMP), the Health Physics Society (HPS), the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM), the American Medical Association (AMA), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), and the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP), are approved.

    (2) All other providers shall seek approval through the department’s continuing education tracking system and shall provide a statement of educational goals and objectives of the program, including the criteria for successful completion; a detailed course outline or syllabus, including method of instruction and testing materials, if any; a current curriculum vitae of each presenter in the program; the method used for recording attendance; and, a minimum of one offering relevant to the practice of medical physics, designed to keep licensees apprised of advancements and new developments in the practice of medical physics, and teach current standards of practice.
