(1) The Department shall renew a certification upon receipt of the fee and a signed statement certifying that all requirements for renewal have been satisfied. Each biennial renewal period shall begin April 1 of each odd-numbered year.

(2) A certified master social worker shall not be required to complete continuing education for the first renewal of certification. For each subsequent renewal, a certified master social worker must complete 30 hours of continuing education approved by the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling during the two year period ending on March 31 prior to the beginning of each biennial renewal period. The Department adopts the provisions in
Fl. Admin. Code R. 64B4-6.001, “”Renewal of Active License”” (eff. 2/17/13), which is incorporated herein by reference and is available at https://www.flrules.org/gateway/reference.asp?id=64B4-6.001, as the appropriate continuing education requirements for renewal.
