The Department shall conduct multidisciplinary reviews of all child deaths where there was a prior report with a verified finding to the Department within the previous 12 months in accordance with Florida Statutes § 39.2015 The regional Child Fatality Prevention Specialist shall conduct a death review on all child deaths in which it is alleged that abuse, neglect or abandonment was or may have been a factor in the child’s death, and in situations where a child died while receiving ongoing services.
