Terms Used In Florida Statutes 1003.4206

  • Charity: An agency, institution, or organization in existence and operating for the benefit of an indefinite number of persons and conducted for educational, religious, scientific, medical, or other beneficent purposes.
As authorized by and consistent with funding appropriated in the General Appropriations Act, the Charity for Change Program is created to implement the character education standards required pursuant to s. 1003.42(2)(t). The program may use third-party providers to deliver after-school and summer services that empower students with an evidence-based curriculum that integrates character education, service learning, charitable and community engagement, and academics.
