- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, upon the completion of all terms of a sentence for a criminal conviction a person is eligible to be awarded any scholarship, grant, or other aid for higher education or vocational training under this chapter so long as he or she meets all other requirements to be awarded the scholarship, grant, or other aid.
