Terms Used In Florida Statutes 180.18

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • municipality: as used in this chapter , shall mean any city, town, or village duly incorporated under the laws of the state. See Florida Statutes 180.01
Whenever a private company or corporation shall construct or operate any of the works authorized by this chapter, the municipality wherein the same shall be constructed or operated shall not use the said works in any manner except by and with the consent of the private company or corporation in the manner and upon the terms and conditions which are mutually agreeable to the private company or corporation and the municipality, except as hereinbefore provided.
